John Clancy

John has worked with IGSL for the past 25 years initially within our testing laboratories, then as a site based project engineer and finally moving into senior management within the organisation in 2000 where he is responsible for co-ordination of all SI projects, tendering and HR aspects within the organisation. A Business Graduate from Waterford IT John now heads up the day to day running of the company and has been company secretary since 2012.

Paul Quigley
Mechnical & Management
Paul is a chartered geotechnical engineer, affiliated through Engineers Ireland and Institution of Civil Engineers, UK. He holds a BEng (Hons) in engineering geology & geotechnics and has over 20 years experience in site investigation, geotechnics, and ground engineering. He has published numerous papers and has been actively involved as a committee member of the Geotechnical Society of Ireland, Engineers Ireland since 1997. In recent years he has been working with NSAI technical groups to produce IS 398 Reactive Pyrite in sub-floor fill and updating of SR21;2014 (Aggregates Panel). Paul was appointed a UK Registered Ground adviser (RoGEP) in September 2014 and is the first geotechnical engineer in Ireland to attain this title.

David Green
Technical
David holds a BA BAI (Hons) in civil engineering from Trinity College Dublin. He is a chartered geotechnical engineer and worked with Arup for a period of 5 years before joining IGSL in 2004. David has extensive experience in geotechnical investigations, foundation design, ground retention, contaminated land and piling. He has served as a committee member of the Geotechnical Society from 2009 to 2014 and is actively involved with mentoring of IGSl graduate engineers and geologists.

Ciaran Killaly
Contracts & Technical
Ciaran is a graduate of NUI Galway and holds a 1st class honours degree in civil engineering. He joined IGSL in 2005 and achieved chartered engineer status in 2014. He has worked extensively on large ground investigation projects and has a keen knowledge of project management and cost estimating. Ciaran works closely with IGSL’s site engineers to ensure prompt delivery of ground investigation projects.

Ronan Grace
Health & Safety
Ronan is responsible for health and safety at IGSL and holds a post graduate diploma in Health & Safety. He has over ten years industry experience and is actively involved with implementing safe work systems for IGSL field crews, site engineers and laboratory staff. He has recently achieved Safe-T-Cert for the company and this reflects our emphasis on safety in the work environment.

John Lawler
John graduated with a BSc in geology from UCD in 2002 and has an MSc in engineering geology from the University of Portsmouth (2012). He is also a Professional Geologist (since 2014) with 20 years experience in ground investigation and geotechnics. Since joining IGSL in 2010 John has worked on a number of large geotechnical projects including Intel, Janssen Ringaskiddy, and Waterford Quays. He has a wide array of geotechnical and project management skills including foundations, geo-environmental, earthworks, slopes and aggregates. John also mentors IGSL graduate geologists and engineers.
David Tallon
David joined IGSL in 2003 after completing his civil engineering course at IT Carlow. He has worked on numerous ground investigation and construction quality assurance (CQA) projects in Ireland, Denmark and the UK. He has developed extensive expertise in geotechnical earthworks and soil stabilization testing. David heads up IGSL’s CQA testing division and is hugely respected in the ground investigation and geotechnical sector.
