Geotechnical Instrumentation

IGSL install Instrumentation to provide information on soil and pore water pressure behaviour during construction. We have extensive experience of installing and monitoring

• piezometers,
• inclinometers,
• extensometers,
• hydrostatic profile gauges and
• earth pressure cells.

We have successfully completed a number of instrumentation projects, including:

Inclinometers are routinely installed in piled walls, cuttings and embankments to measure displacement and lateral movement. Our geotechnical engineers can evaluate instrumentation data for staged construction (surcharging) and advise on embankment stability. We also advise clients on pile wall behaviour for cofferdams and cut / cover excavations.
