IGSL is highly experienced at managing, executing and delivering ground investigation projects. Projects of up to €3M have been successfully completed.
GeoTechnical Reports & Consultancy
IGSL prepares geotechnical interpretative reports (GIR) for consulting engineers and contractors. We work closely on optimizing foundations, developing temporary works and evaluating re-use of soils and rocks as engineering fill.
Soil, rock and materials laboratory testing is performed in our Naas laboratories under the direction of experienced and qualified technicians.
Site testing for earthworks and landfill clay liners is a core element of our geotechnical testing services.
IGSL has extensive experience in the analysis of suspected pyrite and gypsum in underfloor aggregate material. Where structural damage indicates possible pyrite degradation, analysis is carried out in a coherent and structured manner.
Soakaway & Site Characterisation
IGSL has extensive experience in assessing soil suitability for the dispersion of storm water through soakaway systems.
IGSL install Instrumentation to provide information on soil and pore water pressure behaviour during construction. We have extensive experience of installing and monitoring piezometers, inclinometers, extensometers, hydrostatic profile gauges and earth pressure cells.
Sampling, laboratory testing and appraisal of aggregate resources has been performed for a number of quarry operators and private clients.
